GALLERY WALLS

Gallery walls have become so popular that they now account for about a third of my work. Many gallery walls can be designed and installed in only one hour. Those tend to have the following characteristics:

  •     Up to 7 pieces
  •     No dimension larger than 24″ (2 ft.)
  •     All in good condition, including the hanging hardware on the back
  •     Installing on a wall that’s easy to access and work on (no ladder work, no furniture to be moved, and not over stairs)
  •     Installing on drywall. Walls made of lath and plaster, concrete, brick, or other difficult material usually take longer.
  •     Pieces that do not have to precisely align with each other or with other items. Grids and patterns take longer

Some take longer (and some much longer) to design and/or install. Often these are because of:

  •     Stairs, particularly when pieces are going high above stairs
  •     A large number of pieces
  •     Larger pieces
  •     When ladder work is involved
  •     Other factors which are discussed here

Here are some examples:

Whatever your gallery wall needs, contact me to discuss. And be sure to check my photo section for many more examples of gallery walls and other attractive groupings I’ve designed, installed, or both.
